Get to Know the Balance Wheel
Feeling Overwhelmed? Not Sure What to Start?
Here is a FREE tool to help you get started.
Ever heard the expression, “You know the best way to eat an elephant? One bite at a time.”
Let’s talk about the elephant for a moment. It is not uncommon for clients to tell me they have so much going on, that they are facing so many things at once, they just don’t know where to start. Ever felt that way? Most of us have. It’s like staring at that big elephant before you, it is so big, where do you start?
We simply cannot do everything at one time. When we attempt to take on too many things at once, sometimes all it serves to do is paralyze us. It stops our actions and prevents progress.
I have always said that we as human beings have a tendency to complicate things far more than they need to be. It has always been my approach to simplify things, to break things down into the most basic components. This helps bring clarity to the situation. By stepping back and looking at the parts, we can see how the parts can come together in the big picture.
This has been such a common issue, in my upcoming book, “Life by Steps – It’s Really Not That Complicated,” I apply this basic principle to all areas of one’s life. By consistently applying this, it is amazing how much easier and better focused we are in our life and in our relationships. I’ll keep you posted on the release date of the book!
Sometimes the confusion is to such a point that you might benefit from the support of a good life coach, someone who has been there, someone with experience. A coach that can listen with patience, ask the powerful questions and help you see things from a new perspective. You are your own best resource and a good coach knows you have the answer within you. They just help you get it out. But maybe you don’t need a coach at this point. Maybe all you need is some simple little tool to help you get started. Well, here it is!
Sometimes just seeing a clear picture before us helps us gain clarity on where we are now, and in what areas do I need the most action. What is the picture that might help you here? Your own completed life balance wheel.
If you will click on the link below, you will be taken to a page that will walk you through the step by step process of completing your life balance wheel. For your convenience, I have provided a blank balance wheel and for reference, a sample of a completed one.
Gaining clarity on where we are now is sometimes the best first step in us moving forward in the direction of were we want to be.
I realize this is just a start, but it is a start, and it is something you can do on your own. With your balance wheel completed, look at the lowest scored areas. Think about what your life would be like if these areas were a ten? Start with just one area at a time. What action steps can you take now to start moving yourself in that direction? Are you committed to taking these steps? Are you willing to start taking these steps now?

If you can get yourself started and you feel comfortable in moving forward, congratulations! If you find you still need some additional support, contact me. I am always here and eager to support you!
